Angelina Jolie Returns

TIFF wouldn’t be TIFF without a headline-grabbing premiere. This year, Angelina Jolie steps back into the spotlight with Couture, directed by Alice Winocour. Set against the high-stakes chaos of Paris Fashion Week, Jolie’s performance is already generating awards buzz. The world premiere lands in the Special Presentations section on September 7, and you can bet the city will be watching.

Charli XCX: Triple Threat

Music’s boundary-pusher is now taking over the silver screen. Charli XCX is making an astonishing three premieres at TIFF:

Erupcja (Sept. 4) – Charli stars as a British tourist swept into a combustible romance with a Polish florist. Co-written and co-produced by Charli, the indie drama premieres in the Centrepiece section.
